TESS RAFFERTY

Tess relocated to LA from Boston, where she worked as a writer, comic, actor, and producer since graduating from Emerson College. While at Emerson, she won the Gabel award for scriptwriting while only a sophomore.

After college, she wrote and performed with many sketch groups, receiving critical acclaim from the local media.

"One of the most brilliant skits of the night I attended."

She also did stand up comedy at many clubs.

Her orginal play Enter Mary, was produced at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston.

"A very funny, occasionally strident, probably blasphemous satire on religion and sexism"

She can be seen around LA doing stand up and performing in the burlesque show Hot & Bothered, a "racous ass-shaking quintet." (LA Weekly)

Her short film, Get Skinny, is currently touring film festivals from Palm Springs to the Bahamas, where it has garnered some awards.
