EVAN WECKSELL

Evan Wecksell, Stand-up Comedian and Singer/Songwriter, is one of the
funniest and most energetic performers to emerge from New York’s
comedy clubs and musical venues. This Long Island native is often
compared to comedic superstars Adam Sandler and Stephen Lynch.

Evan never considered pursuing a career in comedy until an academic
oral presentation on entertainment marketing went strangely awry.
Risking his final grade, Evan abandoned his script and resorted to hand puppets and one-liners. Feedback from the students and professor was unanimous: “Get on stage!”

Having learned guitar at Tufts University, Evan added his musical talent to the equation. The sum: a blend of comedy and music that celebrates dysfunctional relationships, endorses unorthodox career paths and makes fun of bad music.

Evan developed his act by studying some of New York City’s best known
comedians. Soon, Evan was performing alongside some of these very
influences. Evan’s set has been a welcomed addition to shows featuring
The Tonight Show’s Mitch Fatel at The Comic Strip and Last Comic
Standing’s Jessica Kirson at Gotham Comedy Club, to name a few. On
Long Island, Evan gained a large following by hosting music nights and
playing sets at Governor’s Comedy Cabaret, The Downtown and Munchaba
Lounge.

After performing at countless venues across New York City and Long
Island, Evan ended up a three-time Long Island Laff-Off Finalist and
Comedy Soapbox Spring Festival Semi-Finalist.

Living in Los Angeles, Evan is currently touring Southern California
promoting his first CD, Live at the Bitter End. For more information
